When you join the Greater Houston Section of the National
Council of Jewish Women, you will be proud to be part of a
vital organization that has existed for almost 100 years
here in Houston, Texas. We will be celebrating our
centennial birthday in 2013.
The National organization was formed in 1893 and has been a
powerful force for social change across the country and
around the globe—stepping forward and speaking out on
critical issues to improve the well-being of women, children
and families years before others followed its courageous
example.
As a member of Greater Houston Section, you are welcome to
participate in any of the programs and activities sponsored
by all four of our branches—
Career
Branch,
Concerned Young Women,
Daytime Branch
West
Houston Evening Branch.
These branches are open to you regardless of age, occupation
or location. Check out Branch Happenings to learn more about
them.
As an NCJW member, you will impact the Greater Houston Area
and the world at large by becoming part of a growing
grassroots network of courageous and compassionate
individuals who improve the lives of women, children, and
families every day through their volunteer and advocacy
efforts. Greater Houston Section is in our schools, our
courthouses, our State Houses, on the phone and in the
trenches working to change lives every day.
Annual dues are only $40. This would also be a time to
consider becoming a Life Member for only $350 and join some
400 of our Life Members who never have to think about paying
dues again.
We welcome your membership and look forward to seeing you at
one of our many programs. Come, join us!
